Player Conner Freedman and his mom, Jamie, came along shortly thereafter. Conner said, about his age – using a fairly common expression among those who yearn to be seen as “a little bit older” – that he was, “Almost fifteen,” (Birthday August 17) and added “I live in Chapel Hill and play at the Governors Club.” He was fully straightforward about the practice round. “I want to learn the greens, especially where not to miss it,” and “The practice round makes me feel more confident.” Paradoxically, Conner has full braces, and I mined that thread, explaining about my practice of orthodontics for 45 years.
